Monthly Reminders

  • ​Heating bill help. LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program) provides cash grants to help families pay their heating bills. You might qualify for up to $1,000 in help. The application deadline for cash grants is Friday, April 4. ​​​Find out more about LIHEAP. 

  • Job help. Juan Valencia from Career Link will be at our distribution on Wednesday, March 26, from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

  • Lasagna. You can request a free lasagna as often as once per month at www.lasagnalove.org. You'll get matched with a local lasagna maker who will coordinate a safe, contactless delivery day and time.

  • Legal assistance. A representative from Legal Aid will be at our distribution on Wednesday, March 26, from 4 to 6:30 p.m.

  • Medical free services. For information about the FREE services offered by Community Volunteers In Medicine, including medical, dental, and behavioral health, call 610-836-5990.

  • Medicare Part D ​"Extra Help" program. This program helps people with limited income and resources pay Medicare drug coverage (Part D) premiums, deductibles, coinsurance, and other costs. Some people qualify for Extra Help automatically, and other people have to apply. You can apply online, by phone, by mail, or in person at the Social Security office.   • Rental and utility assistance. Dial 2-1-1 and select the prompt for Housing Crisis. Several local charities have money available for emergencies including St. Vincent de Paul, Honey Brook, at 610-470-9090, Salvation Army Extension, Coatesville, at 610-383-0868, and  HELPS Program, Paoli, at 610-644-4040, ext. 246.

  • Rides to recovery services. Danny's Ride provides free rides to recovery services for people living with substance use disorder. Email them at Info@dannysride.org or call 484-265-1411.

  • Senior boxes. Clients age 60 or older whose household income is at or below 185% of the U.S. poverty level can receive senior boxes during our monthly food distributions. If you are interested, please ask for a Senior Box Application at registration.​

  • Transportation. ​Chesco Connect's transportation services are available to all Chester County residents for rides to medical appointments, work, grocery stores, pharmacies, senior centers, recreation areas, and a friend’s house  Call 610-344-5545 to book your ride and see if you qualify for a discounted fare.  For more information, visit chesco.org/5325/Community-Transit.​
