Donate to the Kids' Backpack Program
Many thanks to all those who support the Kids' Backpack Program. Your contributions enable us to provide nutritious kid-friendly food to about 130 students at Honey Brook and Twin Valley Elementary Schools.
Want to help?
Donations are always welcome! When you donate to the Honey Brook Food Pantry, please designate the donation for the Kids' Backpack Program.
If you prefer to donate food, these items are popular with our kids and always in need:
-
Fruit cups
-
Granola bars
-
Ramen noodles
-
Hot cereal packets or cold cereal cups (depending on the season)
-
Boxes of macaroni and cheese
-
Packs of peanut butter crackers
-
Canned pasta (like spaghetti and meatballs)
You can drop off your food donations on food distribution days or contact us to make other arrangements.
How does it all come together?
Our volunteers work together to make this program a success:
-
Our program coordinator uses funds raised for the program to buy food to supplement food donated by our generous supporters.
-
Volunteers pack the kids' bags and deliver them to the schools.
-
The school nurses distribute the bags to the kids who take the food home with them on the bus.
